Workshop ethics in public relations
Basis of ethics in public relations
Ethics for government communicators can be defined as a set of principles, beliefs and values that should be followed by all civil servants who engage in public relations practice. In today’s practice of public relations, ethical conduct is quintessential. No public relations practice should exist in contemporary society without a full commitment to ethical values. The task of the government communicator is to do everything to make it as easy as possible for journlists to write about the authority – but never order the journalist what to write!
