Study visits to Stockholm
One study visit was carried out to Stockholm May 24-28 2006 with four high-level communication officers from the Cabinet of Ministers, the Verkhovna Rada and the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs. The visit in Sweden was targeted mainly on methods and techniques for public communications. Visits were made to Information Rosenbad, the Press Secretary of the Vice Prime Minister, the Information Department at the Riksdag, the NGO LRF, the media monitoring company Observer, the Communication Department at the City of Stockholm, the Municipal Citizens Centre at Skärholmen, the Swedish Public Service TV, the Press Ombudsman, the Institution for applied communication (IHR) at the Stockholm University, the Swedish Tax Agency etc.
One study and working visit to Stockholm November 5-10 2006 with the project coordinator Natalia Dniprenko, one high-level communication officer from the Ministry of Finance and the graphic designer contracted to design the Communication handbook. During the visit the text and graphic design of the Handbook for Public Communications was developed as well as a proposal for a possible future programme and strategy/structure on public communications in Ukraine. The visit was also used to deepen knowledge on how Swedish authorities work with public communications in practice and how development capacity of Swedish communication officers is carried out. The visit also provided possibilities for training of the graphic designer contracted by the Cabinet of Ministers. Visits were made to Information Rosenbad, the Press Service of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs, the Communication Department at the City of Stockholm and Örebro and the Insitution for Communications at the Örebro University.
